March Board of Review

Emerson Township and Lafayette Township, Gratiot County, Michigan

 Public Act 660 of 2018 allows the governing bodies of 2 or more contiguous cities or townships, by agreement, to appoint a single board of review to serve as the board of review for each of those cities or townships.

Emerson and Lafayette Townships have entered an Interlocal Agreement to approve a Combined Board of Review.

To the taxpayers and property owners of Emerson and Lafayette Township:

The Board of Review will hold an organizational meeting to review the 2025 Assessment Roll on:

Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 9:00 AM

Emerson Township Hall, 2976 S Baldwin Rd, Ithaca

The Board of Review will reconvene and hear appeals at:

Emerson Township Hall, 2976 S Baldwin Rd, Ithaca

on the following dates and times:

• Monday, March 10, 2025: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Wednesday, March 12, 2025: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Property owners who believe their 2025 assessed or taxable valuation or classification is incorrect can schedule an appointment or submit a written appeal.

 To submit a written appeal:

 Send letters to City Hall, 525 E. Superior Street, Alma, MI 48801.

 Letters must be received by Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM (postmarks are not accepted).
